He proceeds to track down the real murderer, Black Bart, follows him through Montana and New Mexico into Arizona. He makes Bart prisoner but he escapes and kidnaps Ruth. Steve rescues the girl and Bart meets death over a cliff. Ruth accepts Steve when his innocence is proved beyond a doubt.
